How will you use this account?
Paddler or parent
Join sessions, keep a personal log and skills picture. Membership is pending until this organisation approves you.
Leader or coach
Same account — you are asking this organisation to grant leader access so you can run sessions. That stays pending until an organisation admin approves it. You can still paddle in the meantime.
I also coach / teach
Optional. Turns on Coaching notes on the Leader menu, coaching plans, and the Coach pack. You can change this later on Personal details. Outing leaders can skip this.
Your request must be approved by that organisation’s admin, duty officer, or a site administrator before you count as a full club member. Leader access is granted separately by an organisation admin or site administrator.

Noted as self-declared. This does not change where you can paddle or the session map.
No independent remit yet. Tick a leadership award, or use “Other / working under direct supervision” and describe the arrangement on the session.

Instruction (taster / introductory)
Introductory / taster sessions in a managed venue under a deployer’s safety framework. To work independently on very sheltered or sheltered water the instructor needs site-specific training and assessment, first aid, safeguarding, and to be 18 or over.
Same deployment notes as Paddlesport Instructor, for SUP. SUP is not endorsed on weirs.
Crew-craft helm for very sheltered and sheltered water.
Leadership (journeys)
Lead others on sheltered water: ≤ 200 m offshore, wind ≤ Force 3, and slow ungraded rivers (not weirs or rapids).
Leadership award for SUP on very sheltered and sheltered water. Not for weirs.
Assessed on moderate inland open water and slow-moving rivers up to grade 1, which may include an occasional short grade 2 rapid and simple safe weirs. Also deemed appropriate for inland tidal water with defined easy landings, slow estuaries (< 0.5 kn), and wind not above Force 4 (Force 3 if offshore). Not a sea, surf, or advanced-water award.
Artificial / stadium white-water courses. Site operating procedures apply.
